Get out your coats, hats and gloves for one of the most popular winter events at the Lake of the Ozarks. Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days will return for its 10th year at the Lake on Saturday, January 9 and Sunday, January 10. The first live eagle program held in 1999 attracted 651 participants. Last year, over 3,700 people attended to make it one of the most successful Eagle Days in years past.
There will be hourly eagle programs by the World Bird Sanctuary at Osage National Golf Resort, live eagle viewing at Willmore Lodge with kids crafts and vendor booths, live eagle viewing, eagle nest activities and hot chocolate at Bagnell Dam at Osage River Access, and paddle boat cruises on the Tom Sawyer (weather permitted) for additional eagle viewing. Tickets for the Tom Sawyer are $5.00 per person with 30-minute cruises scheduled at 11a.m, Noon, 1 p.m. and 2p.m.. Visitors are urged to bring binoculars, cameras and to dress for the weather. |
