The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Missouri Master Naturalist Lake of the Ozarks Chapter, The Convention & Visitor Bureau and Osage National Golf Resort present the 2013 Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days on January 5th - 6th, 2013. The event hours are Saturday, January 5th from 9am – 4pm and Sunday, January 6th from 10am – 3pm.
Highlights of the program include live eagles from the World Bird Sanctuary with naturalists on hand to answer questions at Osage National Gold Resort. Interactive exhibits and crafts will take place at Willmore Lodge. Eagle watch cruises (weather permitting) will be offered by the Paddlewheeler Tom Sawyer on Saturday at 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, 3:30 PMand Sunday at 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM for only $5 per person.
Visitors are urged to bring binoculars and cameras for optimal viewing and photo opportunities of wild eagles at Willmore Lodge and below Bagnell Dam on the Osage River. This event is free (except the small charge for the boat cruise) and open to the public.
To make this event possible and to secure the birds from World Bird Sanctuary we need your help. We invite you to get involved in this fun, family-friendly event that will be enjoyed by hundreds of visitors and residents. Despite the weather, last year over 2,000 eagle watchers attended the annual event.
We are providing different levels of sponsorship for anyone wishing to help us meet the budget needs of the 2013 Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days.
